Body Positive: Ariantho’s Angels, Body Politik, Nora Entice and RaC

Ben Vanguard | - Body Positive (Skins+Shapes) | Thursday, August 23rd, 2007

A shape and 3 skins, as usual. I chose the skins which offer the best fit for the face contour, then the best fit for the body, and I tried to avoid the one you can see everywhere ;-)

The shape is shown “As is.” Jadenne Ariantho for Ariantho’s Angels did it. Jadenne offers a few very original shapes of both human and elf, adults, teens and even children. Of course, as all quality skins from good and fair creators, these skins are modify, so you will be able to adapt it to your own taste and to fit all shoes, attachments and clothes with simple minor modifications.

I wanted to show you today “more than pale” skins. Diarmuid from Ariantho’s Angels was one of the very few shapes which could match pleasantly the three interesting skins that attracted my attention. I chose Diarmuid because it was the thinnest one, and I thought a pretty thin body was the best match for that kind of skin.

Diarmuid is an adult human male. He is 6‘7“, so a pretty good height in SL, he is in shape without being overmuscled or beefy. He will please those who want an original masculine tall shape without looking like one of the millions of Hulks we can see on the grid.

For further information about the choice criteria, please read this Introduction.

  1. I really really wish you folks would quit blogging The Body Politik, as their skins are the worst skins in game, and are incredibly overpriced for the shoddy work.

You want good skins, go to Adam & Eve, Naughty Designs or anywhere. The Body Politik is so overhyped it’s getting out of hand. Brutal Honesty pointed out their flaws a few weeks ago, and I went there, and they were 100% right in their comments about the place. Simply awful.

  2. Wow, skins are such a personal decision. Before you decide on a skin, you should walk around in a demo for weeks, waiting for comments from friends and strangers. Then and only then should you fork out the money for a skin.

I can’t stand Adam & Eve skins, and every Tom, Dick and Harry wears Naughty Designs. I think it’s great to see other skins shown with various shapes. Saves me a lot of time and energy. Ha ha ha!!!

  3. If every Tom Dick and Harry wore a skin, it’s because it’s a very good skin. Who cares? The shape is what makes the skin, if it’s a popular skin.

The Body Politik is just an awful place to get a skin

  4. Some of us don’t want to look like everyone else, especially considering what most men look like on Second Life.

  5. Well, then you go right ahead and slip into one of those horrid skins at The Body Politik. don’t mind the seams, the awful coloring, and the horrid artwork. Go nuts.

  6. Hahaha….WANNA FIGHT?

I don’t wear a Body Politik skin, but I don’t see a problem with having someone try ‘em on and comment on them in a blog. I recall seeing Adam & Eve skins over on another fashion blog and thinking they were horrible. Just sayin’.
