The excellent Prad Prathivi reminded me to check “Massimo,” the brand run by Ryusuke Loon. It was on my to do list for a while, but you know how things are… Time flies! So thank you Prad! Ryusuke offers a short but wide range of items for men. I chose to show you today “Michele mens cort” in black, a leather flexi coat coming with complementary pants and shirt, and several collar options. I’ve heard sometimes than some customers were disappointed by the items they just bought, which looked nothing like the ad on the vendor. Well, nothing like that with Massimo stuff! Just the opposite actually, the coat looks really great, better than on the vendor! The texture feels hand drawn, which I appreciate more and more, as I got bored with photosourced items without personality. The bottom flexi attachment fits perfectly! You could have to shrink or stretch it a bit following the diversity of avatar sizes, but its shape it is perfectly designed. The flexi effect has been tweaked well, too, offering a supple move without too much colliding with your virtual body. A classic collar or a fur collar (shown) are offered, for two different looks, one more casual, one more sophisticated. The pants complete the coat nicely, and you can get a better finish with cuffs for the sleeves (shown) and for the legs (not shown, due to my choice of boots). Note that these pants don’t show the pants bug and can be used without sculpty cuffs, which is not so sommon lately, unfortunately.
A medium grey shirt in both shirt and underpants layer is provided (not shown), and a black tie as well. I chose to use a lighter shirt and a colored tie for my outfit, but it’s nice to have a ready do use outfit in the pack! My conclusion is, this coat, coming in three colors, is a great one, and probably the only one I would like wearing outside of my studio if i had time to do so Everything is obviously moddable for a perfect adjustment, and copy, no transfer.
Beware, some items at Massimo aren’t modify, like some of the suits offered. Be careful of that before buying, since no-modify pants will for sure terribly reduce your choice of shoes.

El Trebol: Fixa Shirt in white, Bliensen Reisnider Tie shown in a few of the 7 colors to choose in the menu, in both versions provided in the pack.
I have already used this shirt from El Trebol, Fixa, which comes on every layer you could dream of for a perfect mix and match ability, coming in two versions, open collar or closed collar and painted shirt. I like the subtle tone on tone striped fabric. They are moddable, which allows you to give some volume to the sleeves, very useful when you wear a shirt over them. Copy, no transfer. Comes in three light colors with a fat pack available.

I completed the Fixa open shirt with a tie from Bliensen+Maitai, “Reisnider.” The pack offers two shapes (shown above), each coming in three versions: around neck, under collar (shown), and knot only (easy to adapt to closed shirts). You can choose your color among 7 by menu, and resize the ties by menu as well. Although I agree a resize menu is very useful, I would rather have the tie modify to edit linked parts and get a perfect adjustment fitting my shirt’s collar. This is the bad point of these ties which are nicely textured and built. You can choose your perm, copy or trans for easy gifting.

For the first time on Slmen, hair from Bryce designs, “Jimmy.” Bryce Tully, the designer, has really improved his hair lately, and a bunch of his latest creations are definitely worth a look. You will for sure find your favorite color among the 54 offered, covering the widest palette. Textures are very good, overall shape interesting. I just wish it showed a bit more work on the prims, facilitating the adjustment (a few more prims, each more tiny maybe?) Anyway, at this price level, this hair is just a steal, and I’m sure the next release will be even better!

Also showing the incredible boots from Shiny Things “Xing Boots” reviewed by Perry a few days ago. They look good under pants, thanks to the fact that they come in two parts! Beautiful artwork and perfect control of the sculpted prims are the signature of Fallingwater Cellardoor. Note that these boots use a new feature of SL, the mirrored prims, which accelerates the rezzing of the sculpties! YAY, no more walking with big balls on your feet for ages! For those with an older viewer (Before 1.20), a version of the boots which doesn’t use this feature is provided. That’s what I call being customer conscious!
Plus very cool gloves by Urban Cache Clobber, wich offer a nice collection of them, and one more good skin from Lelutka, from their latest collection, “Stockholm.”
