Nouveau chez / New at “Adam n Eve” & “Hoorenbeek”

Sachi Vixen for “Adam n Eve” has just released a new collection: Catwalk Collection for men. A brand new range with stylish basics, jeans with embroidery, shiny silk shirts, snakeskin jackets…and more to come for sure!

I’m showing today one of the silk shirts worn with an embroidered pair of jeans. The shirts come in 6 colors, white (shown), black, blue, sand, khaki and red. The hand drawn texture is very good, as well as the shadowing-highlighting work. Each shirt is provided in two tucked versions on the shirt layer, with and without textured collar, and a prim collar (to wear with the “without textured collar” version of the shirt, one of the most convenient I’ve known, although i’m still not a fan of prim collars for shirts, due to my everlasting laziness when it comes to precisely adjusting attachments) and a pair of prim cuffs. I really miss a complement on the underpants layers that could allow wearing the “silk shirt” with low-waist pants. I know that Sachi will think of it!

Also shown is a pair of embroidered jeans, part of the “Serpent male suit.” Yet another pair of jeans, but with the sophistication of contrasted emboidery on the left thigh. It comes in six colors: black (shown), grey, green, blue, olive and purple. With each suit you will get a pair of jeans (on pants and underpants layers) and a nice matching jacket (jacket layer, not shown).

Everything from the Adam n Eve’s Catwalk collection for men is moddable, copy and no transfer. Note that you can get a dollarbee demo for each and every item. This is a great initiative from Adam n Eve, and for once, I hope it will be widely copied!

After the “All Stars” sculpted “Converse like” sneakers two weeks ago, after the “Patagonia,” sculpted “Timberland like” boots a week ago, Hoorenbeek, the brand which forces its designer to work 24/7 has just released “Dockers”… yes, yes, “Sebago docksides like,” sculpted of course. For me it’s a lot of fun to find in SL almost exact replicas of shoes I own in RL. The ultra-realism offered by the sculpted prim technique is really amazing. I’m sure I will soon shift my attention back to more “SL authentic” shoes, as I did with clothing after the huge wave of very good photosourced items we were offered last year. But for now, I won’t refuse my pleasure with these sculpted pieces of work. “Dockers” come in 6 colors: black leather, white leather, blue and brown, brown leather, brown suede and green suede. Each color is offered in 4 sizes (no moddable). I wish the sizes were less different from each other, especially the “large” one, done for giants! instead, I wish there were something between x-small and small, and between small and medium :-) Well, better yet, a script allowing an infinity of sizes, to suit every need! A demo would be great as well. Anyway, these dockers are cool and you will certainly get a pair sooner or later!

Hoorenbeek Dockers:
Quality: 4/5 - Style-Originality: 3,5/5 - Usability (different layers, modify perms, amount of outfits put together with a single pack, sizes for attachments…): 3/5 - Price:2.5/5 - Value for money: 3/5

  1. I BEGGED the seller on my knees, even offering triple times the normal price (in a looong polite notecard) to take 20 minutes of their precious little famous life to resize them for a female’s size 0, and they still refused. So don’t hope too much on the sizes, ah! *poop* :( I looked for shoes like for for 3 years in SL. I am in shock and want to cry in foetus position now.

SOMEONE PLEASE MAKE FEMALE SHOES LIKE THOSE, pleaaaassse.

  2. i cant say my shoes are anywhere near the sophisticated shape of these but i do do all my mens shoes in size 0 for women and have some moccasin type shoes for women in my store Elka . At the moment my sculptie shapes are way too basic to make fantastic shoes like this wtg Hoorenbeek.I dont think I’ve ever seen shoes so realistic in sl both shape and texture.

  3. The outfit is really good (I was doing my shots at the same time Ben was shoting this), and the textures are fantastic

Just a note for Adam n Eve iniciative of having demos on their clothes: I really hope every designers follow this example, in RL we never buy a piece of clothe without trying it first

  4. I own quite a few pair of shoes from you, swaffette, actually! (I own the pixie boots for over a year now and my all-time favorite item is the SFD bandana—I always wear that in RL! yay!) but I admit that for that particular style, I was hoping for something extremely detailed and now with sculpties that kind of quality excites me a lot. But I will still go have a look, who knows! I usually like what you do :D Thanks for the hint!

  9. The clothing or fashion market is a multi-billion-pound industry and the constantly changing styles that dominate it are largely dictated by well-known designers who showcase their new seasonal collections several times a year at fashion shows in cities such as New York, London and Paris so because it is something I am interested in I thought I would try my luck at getting a piece of the action and wright fashion blog - so I hope you don’t mind that I am scouring the net to get some idea’s from other peoples to see exactly whats hot and yours has giving me a few ideas about interactive fashion designs, Thanks
